What the assignment covers
A continuous officer presence through the night at one location, typically from close of business or end of shift until the site reopens. Duties usually include securing and verifying doors and gates at the start of shift, walking interior and exterior rounds during the night, checking mechanical and storage areas, watching for unauthorized entry, meeting cleaning crews or late deliveries under the post orders, noting lighting and equipment faults, and handing over conditions at opening with a full shift report.
When this is the right fit
This is the choice when a site is exposed for the entire dark period and periodic visits are not enough.
